Educational Programing
Since 2023, we have advanced social impact by fostering knowledge sharing and innovation through education. In partnership with local organizations, our educational programming series delivers interactive workshops to inner-city youth from South Boston and creates opportunities for our network to contribute sponsorship and volunteer hours.
Workshops cover a variety of topics such as anatomy, chemistry, marine science, neuroscience, plant science, engineering, and architecture, inspiring curiosity and expanding access to hands-on STEAM learning. The programming is supported by NF International RE employees, vendors, and tenants.
Wellness and Community
We continue to strengthen employee well-being and community relationships through seasonal charitable initiatives such as holiday gift giving, park clean-ups, and team sporting events. Our partnerships include the Condon Community Center, Friends of Martin’s Park, and Science from Scientists, reflecting our ongoing commitment to local communities and shared public spaces.
Recycling
We support a diverse range of companies, many from the life sciences sector, which generate around 1.1 million tons of single-use plastic waste each year due to contamination control needs in research and diagnostics.
To address this, we have partnered with specialized providers to launch a scalable lab consumable waste recycling program. This initiative targets laboratory plastics such as pipette tip boxes, media bottles, and PPE and uses digital tools to track carbon reduction, conserve resources, and manage waste more efficiently.
Sustainable Water Management
We prioritize water-saving technologies and responsible wastewater management across our construction sites and managed properties. In laboratory offices and facilities, wastewater is treated through pH systems, supported by daily monitoring and reporting procedures to ensure compliance with local standards.
Across our properties, greywater is reused for irrigation and cleaning, reducing our freshwater withdrawal and supporting more sustainable operations.
